Gregorio Monreal, Pete T. Cenarrusa Award

The Pete T. Cenarrusa Foundation for Basque Culture in Idaho (USA) has recognized the career of the former President of Eusko Ikaskuntza between 1992 and 1996.

At an event held at the Public University of Navarra in Pamplona on October 25, Gregorio Monreal Zia received the Pete T. Cenarrusa Award for his international contribution to Basque culture.

The award ceremony was attended by Roldán Jimeno Aranguren, a member of Eusko Ikaskuntza and secretary general of the UPNA, Alicia Chicharro Lázaro, director of the Internationalisation and Cooperation area of the vice-rectorate of the same name, and Amaia Álvarez Berastegi, professor of the Department of Law, as well as Gloria Totoricageña Egurrola, vice-president of the Pete T. Cenarrusa Foundation.

This award is added to previous recognitions received by Gregorio Monreal, such as the Eusko Ikaskuntza-LABORAL Kutxa Award in 2007 or the Euskadi Research Award in 2013.
