Summary
Alberto Aguirre was born in Errezil on the seventh of August 1886. Director of the music band from 1914, in Andoain, he was also organist for the San Martín Church. He held the position of head teacher of the music academy, music teacher at the "minor seminary" and many others. He mainly composed religious works; four masses, various motets, hymns and many other religious songs. In the field of secular works, he also composed various polyphonic songs written in Basque. In this work Leire Ibánez offers a compilation of all his compositions.
