Summary
The present documental collection collects the notarial minutes of the board meetings held in the final period of the Middle Ages (1480 - 1509) corresponding to the council and the chamber of Tafalla, and preserved in the Municipal Archives of this town. Normally the minutes of chamber and council meetings were drafted in a single book. However some notaries preferred to draft them separately. In addition to the minutes, these notebooks collect other documents such as ordinances, contracts and judicial hearings. The content of this documentation is of great interest in order to acquire a more in-depth knowledge of the municipal, social and ecclesiastic organisation of one of the Good Towns of the Kingdom of Navarre, the basic pillars of the communal economy, and many aspects of daily life.
