Summary

The Betizus are wild bovines - Bos taurus (Linneo)- that have always lived in the Basque mountainous regions. They are quite small animals, reddish, with non-pigmented mucosae and hoofs. They breed every two years, in March. Their senses are very developed. They are sedentary within a perimeter of a few square kilometers where they form small groups. It is a race which is about to become extinct due to the scarce interesting their conservation expressed by their owners, through the extermination of some flocks, the genetic absorption by other races, etc. Does the Betizu race have a future?
