Summary
The medieval documents kept in the Municipal Archives of Hondarribia and transcribed today make up the third volume that the Fuentes Collection dedicates to the first city of Gipuzkoa. The 170 documents published are a good example of the effort made by the former town to preserve this unique legacy in a difficult context, since it was a fortress on the border. Especially notable is the documentation generated in the confrontation between France and Spain to gain control over Bidasoa River.
