Funeral art constitutes an indispensable section for the study of contemporary art, which has not as yet been sufficiently studied. We approach the study of one of the most relevant set of works of this kind in the Basque Country, the Municipal Cemetery in Getxo (Bizkaia), explaining its genesis, and providing unpublished data and dates on authors about the most outstanding chapels and pantheons.
