Summary

Written version of the inaugural conference of the Vasconia Journal Historiographic Symposium, in December 2003. First contribution to the analysis of the results of the poll elaborated and carried out between 1996 and 2001, by an inter-university research team, directed to 50,000 historians throughout the world. A study is made of their localisation as a method in contemporary historiography, the representativity of the sampling, and its connection with the Debate on History as a network and a tendency.
