Summary

Three writers who loved the sea, Pío Baroja, Joseph Conrad and Eugene O´Neill, offer us their view of the transition from traditional sailing boats to modern steamboats. They were direct witnesses to the change from a world which, in a certain sense, was about to be extinguished, to another radically different one regarding people´s relationship with the sea.
