Summary

The latest issue of Eleria, the legal journal, starts with four research projects. Concretely, Igone Altzelai Uliondo analyses the control of joint ventures or of participating companies in European Community Law in anti-trust mattersin her article Control of joint ventures in Community Law on defence of competition. Jon-Mirena Moorland Gorostiza contributes with Minors in Penal Law: a critical approach to Organic Law 5/2000. Ixusko Ordeñana Gezuraga titles his article Admittance into the judicature in England and Wales. Finnally, Ana Isabel Pérez Machío studies, in her article The protection of moral integrity: criminality of degrading treatment, torture and crimes against moral integrity. Jose Luis Mendoza Peña then studies the legal situation of the Basque language in Navarre in his article The legal situation of the Basque language in Navarre, and Imanol Trebiño Barruetabeña carries out an in-depth study of historical texts in Basque within the civil administration. Also included here is an interview with one of the most prestigious jurists in the United States in matters of Human Genetics, Professor Lori B. Andrews. As for chronicles, Joxe Mari Aizega Zubillaga, Patxi Etxeberria Guridi and Jon-Mirena Moorland Gorostiza provide us with a short review on the following books: Taxation in Statutory Civil Law in the Basque Country, The New Law on Civil Proceedings and the Bilingual Penal Code, respectively. To conclude, in the section on classical texts of the world of law, Professor Joxerramon Bengoetxea has chosen Lawrence Friedman?s work on 20th Century American Law.
