Summary

The author intends to compare two cultural facts, without proposing any similarities between either invented traditions: the Welsh "eisteddfodau" and the "Lore Jokoak" set up by d´Abbadie. The creation of the new "eisteddfodau" as of 1815 carried out by the London Welsh societies is a link to the creation of a mythical world, bound to tradition and a reconstructed past, while at the same time creating the myth of the "Country of Songs".
