Summary

Within the initiatives carried out in favour of bilingual teaching, in 1982 ; Jakes Aurnague carried out within the schools in Garazi one of the first sociolinguistic surveys in Iparralde. Twenty years later, I have carried out the same survey amongst the youths of Garazi, taking into account the same variables: self-evaluation of the language level, mother tongue, geographical nucleus, exchange between parents, grandparents, neighbours and friends, etc. In this work I am presenting the 2002 results, comparing them with the 1982 data.
