Summary

The article pretends to underline the transformation of the image of Bilbao throughout the nineteen-nineties, attained through its urban regeneration. This urban regeneration is concentrated, however, in a series of star buildings (amongst which the most noteworthy is the Guggenheim museum) destined to place Bilbao in the world cultural map and thus reinvent its relationship with the outside world.
