Summary

The concept of limit, as an articulation of the sound discourse, has been the vertebral column of the creations of Navarran composer Agustín González Acilu, especially over the last five years. In the framework of the expressionist aesthetics that define all of his work, limits and transgressions are part of the ideas that fuel the development of the composing ethics based on absolute rigour. This rigour authorises and legitimates the creative freedom with which the whole of his production develops, from the very first page of his catalogue to the most recent ones. Ethics and aesthetics are the two fundamental pillars of his work.
