Summary

During the modern centuries, collective violence impregnated all the spheres of Navarrese society. However, within the different typologies of altercations that took place, historiography has not paid any attention to the so-called "rondas nocturnas" (night rounds) and to the disturbances that took place during carnival festivities. This article pretends to centre its attention on these incidents, while trying to unveil their connections as well as their specificities.
