Summary

This race has a roused a conservationist interest in distant places of the Basque Country. It is a race with a special symbology related to different Basque myths and popular legends. It is the predecessor of the Pyrenaic bovine race. At present it is conserved thanks to the tenacity of a reduced group of supporters of the conservation of the natural environment.
