Summary

In the late nineteenth century a number of municipalities around Bilbao began a process of industrialization, urbanization, modernization and social innovation that will lead to the setting of the metropolis of the Bilbao Estuary. Then a number of new industrial cities were born, where new demographic, economic, social, leisurerelated and cultural behaviours spring up, all of which ultimately constitute a new urban lifestyle the main issues of which are addressed in this work.
