Summary

In North-eastern Brazil, thousands of wandering singers make a living from their art. These cantadores call on the public to sing improvised verses as a duo, on a variety of subjects including emigration. Social appropriation of this space by popular culture takes place in the form of these modern troubadours acting out their songs indifferent contexts.
