Summary
One of the consequences of the industrial crisis suffered in Greater Bilbao is the disappearance of most of the large companies based on huge productive centres with over a thousand workers organised according to the Ford model. Although some large companies stil subsist, these no longer fulfil the function of being economic and social centres of the industrial society.
