Summary

The Manteli, a family of italian origen established in the north-eastern part of the Iberic peninsula during the early eighteenth century served in the trade of trumpet-players for civil institutions for almost one century, through three generations. The study and follow-up of this family saga tries to show the situation and development of the trade of trumpet-player during the XVIIIth century, as well as its connection and similarity with the defining features of the rest of trades in the Modern Age
