Summary

Although some interesting works have been published, historiography on the Franquist dictatorship and the democratic transition in the Basque Country has advanced relatively little in the last decades, in comparison with other communities. Navarre has a somewhat more complete historiography on such eras, but in both cases new monographic research is necessary, especially on internal aspects of the Franquist regime and on the transition.
