Summary

He believes that the oldest printed Basque text can be a pastoral from 1500 ("Clovis") that Buchon commented he had seen in the house of Saffores, though it is not known if when he said 1500 he was referring to the year or to the century. This manuscript has disappeared, it possibly consist of 40 to 50 pages and even though it may be that it is not from 1500, but from the XVI century, it is important because it proves the existence of a literary and lay text in Basque language from that time
