Victor Hugo considered that Gastibelza, the hero of a song, means "gazte beltza", black youngster. He also called "Ibaïchalval" to "Ibaïchabal" (variant of Ibaizabal) though it is not known if in the original of his book he called it like that or if it was due to a mistake in the subsequent editions
