On Saturday, June 8, starting at 11 a.m., at the Chamber of Gipuzkoa in Donostia (Avenida de Tolosa, 75), and online, Eusko Ikaskuntza will hold its annual Assembly.
After the information meetings that took place during the months of April and May in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Pamplona, Bilbao, Donostia-San Sebasti nyva online , members are called on June 8 to take stock of the activities carried out in the last year and reflect together on the immediate future of Eusko Ikaskuntza.
In the first part of the General Assembly, the minutes of the previous one, the Annual Report, as well as the balance sheet and income statement for the year 2023, together with the proposal for their application, will be submitted for approval. All documentation related to these points is available to members in the private area of the website.
Next, the President of the institution, Ana Urkiza, will present the main lines of action of the Society and the planned plan for 2024 with its corresponding budget. A relevant point on the agenda is related to the program, contents and organizational details of the XIX Congress of Basque Studies to be held on October 2, 3 and 4 in Vitoria-Gasteiz.
The Assembly will be held entirely in Basque, but those who need it will have a simultaneous translation service into Spanish.
Finally, the call in November for the Extraordinary General Assembly for the election of the Presidency of Eusko Ikaskuntza and the representations for Lava, Bizkaia, Gipuzkoa and Navarra will be submitted for approval. Next, members will be given the floor to ask questions and express their opinions.
