Following those held in Bilbao and Donostia, the third and final session of Beer-pentsatu took place on 19 September at the O'Connor's pub in Vitoria-Gasteiz.
Beer-pentsatu has been conceived as a space for informal reflection around the three axes that will be addressed at the 19th Congress of Basque Studies in October: socio-economic and welfare model, society, and territory. Through active listening and sharing drinks, the aim was to identify what the common bases, consensus and disagreements could be, which would allow the articulation of a new Basque social contract.
The meeting on 19 September was attended by a dozen people of different origins, profiles, ages and training, who were able to freely express their reflections, doubts and concerns about the elements and characteristics that unite and fragment Basque society.
All the contributions collected in the Beer-pentsatu sessions will feed into the debates at the Eusko Ikaskuntza Congress in Vitoria-Gasteiz.
