Applications can be submitted until September 21st . Voting on the Eusko Ikaskuntza website will be open from October 13th to 19th. The final vote count will be weighted according to the following percentages: Eusko Ikaskuntza members, 30%; the Global Basque Community, 10%; and the institutional jury, comprised of the Eusko Ikaskuntza President and representatives of relevant organizations, 60%. The decision will be announced during the month of October.
According to the award's rules, the nominated individuals must be distinguished by their life trajectory, not strictly linked to the university environment, their contribution and commitment to Basque Culture and its universal value, as well as by the dissemination of their work.
With the aim of promoting equality between women and men, the nomination of female candidates will be encouraged. Likewise, it will be ensured that the award's list of winners reflects the diverse territorial realities of the Basque Country.
