Summary

The Town Council of Getxo started its experience in the use of TICs to bring the administration nearer to the citizen in 1989 by starting a Videotex Server Centre. As from 1997 it has maintained the GetxoNet website, to which it is constantly incorporating new services. It has checked, by means of the utilisation statistics, that such services are very well received by the citizens.
