Summary

Angels musicians accompanying the image of "Our Lady of the Milk" and "of Humility", are very often found in the Crown of Aragon, in the last third of the XVIth century and during the next. With the help of literary sources, as well as liturgical and folklorical, the meaning of this iconographic configuration is researched ; its sense is manifested as a representation of the ideologies in force or longed for, through this analysis we try to fix the value of the concept "Music" in those circumstances, without taking into account therefore, the organological aspect of the studied paintings
