Summary

The novel SPrako tranbia (A Tramway in SP) was awarded the 2002 National Literature Prize. This fact constituted an agreeable piece of news, but the work deserved to be analysed. The present mono graphical issue of the Oihenart Journal has gathered studies on narrative and social and literary matters as well as works on its translation. Monographic works on the Basque writers have very seldom been written and this effort clearly shows which has been the author?s trajectory as well as the characteristics of the society in which his work has had its repercussions.
