The main aim of this work is to systematically compile and prepare a discursive analysis on the archetypal figures of speech structuring the Basque imaginary concerning Japan in the modern age, by either digging into modern aspects of intercultural penetration or analysing the historical mark left by Basque presence on the Japanese Archipelago.
