History, in its diverse chronologies, has been an important discipline in the contents of RIEV it its three preceding periods; important especially in terms of the bibliographical reviews and references, of which there have been many. And although the involvement of Basque historians has been unequal and mention needs also be made of the poor contribution of methodological innovation, there is no doubt that the works published, especially those on sources, are a necessary reference at the present time.
