The line of work included in the II Plan for Activating the Participation of Members will take its first steps after the summer, starting in Lava and Navarra.
On June 14, the 2nd Plan for Activating Member Participation was presented at the Eusko Ikaskuntza General Assembly. Among the initiatives planned for 2025, the first to be launched will be the Member Initiative Groups (hereinafter, BETs).
The BETs have a clear objective: to encourage active, organized, and voluntary participation among Eusko Ikaskuntza members, making them the authors and protagonists of numerous relevant activities aimed at members. In addition to fostering mutual understanding, these groups will contribute to strengthening internal networks.
A BET may be formed with a minimum of three members, organized by territory or theme, and, with the support of Eusko Ikaskuntza, may carry out their initiatives. To this end, they will have the support of the BET Technical Secretariat, which will act as a direct link with each group and facilitate monitoring of the work, sharing progress and lessons learned.
In practice, the BETs must develop a simple annual activity plan and submit it to the Technical Secretariat. Once approved, they may implement it. Participation in these groups involves attending meetings and assuming the previously established roles or tasks.
In order to guide and harmonize the functioning of all groups, a protocol with basic guidelines has been developed and will be available to all newly formed BETs. Starting in September, the member space on the website will contain all the necessary materials, as well as the option to create a new group.
