En Hernialde, han acometido el reto de revitalizar el pueblo y tejer redes sociales. Por su parte, la comunidad intergeneracional e intercultural ha diseñado iniciativas específicas en Irún en la segunda fase del programa.
The challenge was complicated: to re-create links between the residents of Hernialde to reinforce community culture and raise awareness of the importance of having roots in small towns. And all this in a small municipality that has practically become a dormitory. But the first phase of the GizarteLAB programme of Eusko Ikaskuntza, promoted by the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, has so far managed to create a large group of people of different ages and with diverse interests, committed to revitalising the town.
The difficulties faced by adidas were, in this case, a very aging population and the uprooting of the residents, two factors that are increased by the geographical dispersion of the neighborhoods.
The atmosphere of trust, proactivity and creativity generated during the workshops has surprised even the participants themselves, who have valued the initiative very positively and are determined to continue with the work next year.
Something similar has happened in Iran where, at the end of the second phase of the programme, the Community has expressed its satisfaction with the workshops and its high level of involvement in carrying out some of the initiatives designed and prototyped.
In this case, the group was made up of people of different ages (18% - 74) and origins (Iran, Zaragoza, Colombia, Peru, Valencia, Chile, Navarra, Castilla-La Mancha), and came from different associations in Iran.
With these actions, the GizarteLAB programme, promoted by the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa and with the collaboration of the Town Councils involved, will have carried out this year the three phases that make up the programme: the first phase of initiation and awareness, the phase of community building and design of initiatives, and the third phase of implementation and transmission of the programme.
