An extraordinary General Assembly of Eusko Ikaskuntza will be held on November 30 to elect the President and four representatives of the Governing Council for Araba, Bizkaia, Gipuzkoa and Navarra.
Members who wish to apply have until 31 October to submit their applications . All necessary documentation can be downloaded from the private area of the Eusko Ikaskuntza website.
As established in article 28 of the Statutes, candidates for the Presidency must be supported by 5% of members from at least four territories or by one fifth of the members of the Governing Council. Candidates for territorial representation must be supported by the signatures of 1% of members from each of the territories or by two members of the Governing Council.
The assembly will be held at the Gipuzkoa Chamber in Donostia-San Sebastián, and can be followed online. Voting, however, must be done in person or by means of a previously delegated vote.
