This article tackles the "hackneyed" and complex theme of multi-disciplinarianship, interdisciplinarianship and trans-disciplinarianship. In order to respond to the proposed theme, we will attempt to clarify the meaning of inter-disciplinarianship and trans-disciplinarianship in general and examine it in various case studies to exemplify the need for research and for inclusive teaching. Case studies: Evolutionary Theory of Knowledge; Sustainable development and culture; Systemic risk as perspective for inter-disciplinarianship and inter-disciplinarianship of the landscape.
