This year marks the 75th anniversary of the proclamation of the International Day of the Basque Language and it will be commemorated in a special event to be held in Baiona.
The 75th anniversary of the International Day of the Basque Language has been organised on 26 November in the great hall of Baiona Town Hall.
Eusko Ikaskuntza created the International Day of the Basque Language in Biarritz in 1949, and this proclamation will be remembered again in Lapurdi, with a special event organised in Baiona.
The session will begin at 10 a.m. with an institutional event. This will be followed by a round table discussion with representatives of the Basque Country.
