Summary

The development of a Society of Information is part of a wider process, that implies the appearance of a third environment, different from the two classic environments (natural and urban) in which human beings interact. The construction of this third environment (technological and distant) can be compared to the construction of a global city (Telepolis). For this reason, not only is necessary to build the world and national infrastructures of information, but the local and domestic infrastructures of informantion must also be tended to. In this motion, 21 thesis are presented on Telepolis and the Third Environment, emphasizing their influence on everyday life and on the problems that are implied by the adjustment to third-environment dwellings.
