Summary
Like other authors of his time, Augustin Chaho tried to create a Philosophy of History. Chaho´s alleged Basque nationalism, as well as his alleged socialism, is only a secondary element in his philosophy. His pessimistic conception of history is symbolised by the fi ght between the Children of the Sun (the southern nations) and the Children of the Night (the northern nations) since the dawn of time.
