Summary

Based on the field work accomplished by the group of researchers from Etniker, titled "Children´s games in Vasconia", the games are categorised according to their internal logic characteristics. Such variables in the relations between players, together with space, time and objects, obtained through the analysis of the rules of the game, allow us to reveal the characteristics of the Basque <i>jokoa</i> and <i>jolasa</i> and compare them with the linguistic use of these terms.>
