Summary

The integration of the Basque Country in Europe is a complex process because, in order not to lose its identity it is to develop its economy and culture until reaching a similar level to that existing in more advanced countries. Historiography means history of knowledge and historical knowledge in particular, and in this matter we have always lagged behind. In the case of Basque Historiography, the situation is not very good although we have the Eusko-Bibliographia by Jon Bilbao, and a growing interest on the matter is perceived in universities and a great proliferation of studies
