Summary

Now that European countries have adopted the decimal system, the Basque numbering systems taunchly sticks to the system based on twenty. Number "ogei" is of capital importance in this system since it as from this number that the whole numbering system is built. This circumstance characterises and differentiates the Basque numbering system: its base "twenty" separate it from the immense majority of peoples who use a decimal system.
