Summary

It is argued that the innovative potential of feminist anthropology introduces a new impulse into social anthropology. References include studies carried out both inside and outside the Basque Country. The former bring about new matters while defining, at the same time, problems that have been previously studied. Current currents envisage conflicting problems like the organisation of cities, confrontations produced by revindications based on the exercise of human rights. From the most recent research a selection is made of new theoretical and thematic avenues of research.
