Summary

The transcription of the documentation referring to Biscay in the General Register Section of the Seal of the General Archives of Simancas begins with the publication of these two new volumes. These cover documents as from 1475. These are simple copies of documents issued by the Royal Chancellery from the times of the Catholic Kings up until the 17th century, when the Court finally moved to Madrid. One of the peculiarities of this body of documents is the variety of the topics covered as well as the fact that it is largely directed to private individuals.
