Summary
This volume includes all the documents held in the municipal archives of Ataun up to 1520. Particularly striking is the wealth of their contents, both in terms of quantity and quality, considering that Ataun was a locality belonging to the town of Ordizia until 1615. This wealth ? when compared with the scarcity of documents from the rest of localities that had belonged to larger towns and, like Ataun, were exempted in 1615 ? is undoubtedly due to the fact that the documents were kept in the parish church of Ataun until the end of the 20th century.
