Summary

Since the XIII century the remarquable existence of the Court of Bizkaia is noticed, which respect was necessarily required to its lords, so that its dereliction generated different conflicts with the executive power, as the legal edict protected the ethnic and political identity of its inhabitants. But mainly since the spanish expansionism and its even military involvement towards Bizkaia, this one always put up the Court to the uniformism ; therefore, quite often it set disobedience against the lords of the new dynasty, owing to such countercourts, which provoked armed rebellions a few times. Through the course of the different periods of confrontations, besides collecting the more or less known data, together with their causes, an attempt has been done to show some other umpublished data, particularly an initial analysis about the rebellion in 1491, at Modern Age´s door. Bizkaian people fought and succeeded in keepinng their free identity as a political entity, on the grounds of respect swore by the lords of its Court, untill they integrated with such associative method in the yet imminent spanish imperial system
