Summary

As against global change, from the confluence between social and natural systems, it is necessary to analyse in its complexity the proposal of a science dealing with integral and transdisciplinary sustainability. The multiple dimensions of global planetary change mean global methodological (epistemic, ethic and axiological) changes that need to flow together towards a new cultural paradigm in order to design "sustainable societies" with a resilience that is as far apart as possible from collapse.
