Summary

The contributions of the RIEV journal (1907-2007) as refers to Basque linguistics and philology are fundamental for everything that is related to the Basque language, to the point that, as was once pointed out by L. Michelena, anybody who is interested in such disciplines needs to know what was griten on such matters in our Journal. The linguists that collaborated in the 27 first volumes proceeded from the linguistic positivism and historicism of their times and we can classify them within the Neogrammar school of thought.
