Summary

This article traces the importance of robotics to the development of technology and society, emphasizing not only technical aspects, but also economic and social implications. Illustrations will be provided of how robot structures that have had a determining impact on the development of applications in even non-industrial sectors, and a historical line is traced with perspectives for the future. Economic implications and problems and the social impact that have been and may continue to be decisive for the success of robots in the future, but as topics that are still open to discussion will also be considered.
