Summary

With the contributions of historians on the secular contact of euskara with Latin in Rioja alta, I analyze the principal linguistic strata that demonstrate the survival during the 16th to the 18th centuries of the contact between Basque and Spanish in the legal documents of the Valle de San Millán, preserved in Yuso´s Monastery, specially by the study of personal names and loanwords.
