Summary

This work is on the mining culture in the left bank of the Nervion River, which has now already almost disappeared. It is therefore based fundamentally on existing bibliography. This work has two important tasks to fulfil: on one hand, the reconstruction of a mining culture (focusing on aspects that are not directly linked with occupational reality) as seen from its times of splendour, (sometime around the beginning of the 20th century). The second task is to approach current reality in these communities.
