Nadal was one of Loyola´s closest collaborators. The author introduces two unpublished complementary texts. One is found in an "Apologia ad doctores parisienses", dated 1557 and the other is "Dialogues", from 1562-1563. The texts deal with on the assault, surrender and injury he suffered in Pamplona
